SPRAY TAN TIPS DURING WINTER MONTHS

Tan Tips for Winter Months Bronzed by Britt

Spray tans in the winter months can last if you follow some key steps to help nourish and pump moisturize back into your dry skin. Cold air, home heating methods that decrease moisture in the air, outdoor pollutants + (wind/snow/rain/antifreeze) and lower humidity all cause moisture in your skin to evaporate at a faster rate. This leads to more dry, fragile and flaky skin.

To keep your spray tanned skin in tip-top shape through the cold winter months, follow these important tips:

DO…

*Shorten shower/bath time & gently pat dry post shower (moisturize immediately after)

*Moisturize your skin from the outside in (4x/day in winter months)

*Use our ph balanced body wash in the shower to pump moisture back into your spray tan

*Replace your tan removal mit every 4 weeks in the winter

*Add a humidifier to your home to replenish lost moisture in the air

*Receive a softer/more natural spray tan in winter

*Hydrate often from the inside out (drink plenty of water)

Avoid…

*Rarely hydrating your spray tanned skin

*Scrubbing too aggressively on dry skin (instead, start your exfoliation process 3-4 days prior to your spray tanning service)

*Taking long hot baths/showers

*Booking spray tans too close together

*Spend time in extreme elements cold or hot (ie: hot tub/steam rooms/saunas)
